Home & Contents Insurance

Home and Contents Insurance is a versatile solution which protects your home, belongings and financial wellbeing.

Home and Contents Insurance provides protection for your home, personal belongings and financial wellbeing against unexpected events such as fire, storm, theft, vandalism and accidental damage (where selected).

Cover can be arranged for the building, household contents or both, with optional benefits including temporary accommodation, personal valuables, legal liability and accidental damage, helping homeowners and tenants recover from unforeseen losses and protect their most valuable assets.

Contents Insurance

Contents insurance can be included with Building insurance or purchased separately, depending on who owns the building and whose contents are inside it. Some policies replace all contents as new, while others ask you to contribute to the claim, allowing for age, wear and tear on the item replaced.

Replacing furniture, carpets and personal possessions can be substantial, so take care deciding what to insure and for how much.

Items like jewellery, electronic equipment, artworks, antiques and collections carry policy limits unless otherwise arranged, though there is usually an option to cover valuables and list expensive items separately.

Landlord Insurance

As a property owner and landlord, your needs are different to someone living in their own home. A standard home, contents and strata title policy won’t necessarily give you the cover your investment actually needs.

Landlords insurance is designed to cover your building and contents for loss or damage from insured events, including fire, storm, theft, vandalism and glass breakage. It covers the structure of your building and the contents inside it, such as carpets, with optional extensions for tenant vandalism, theft and rent default. We help you build cover that protects the investment, not just the property.

Home Units/
Apartments Insurance

Home units and apartments registered under a Strata Title are suited to this type of insurance. When your lot or unit is leased partly or fully furnished, you can insure the replacement value of the contents, known as landlord fixtures and fittings, so contents in the property are protected if something goes wrong.

Optional extensions on Home Units and Apartments Insurance include tenant rent default, theft, and malicious damage or vandalism, letting you build cover around the way your unit is tenanted.

Body Corporate Insurance

Under Queensland law, property registered as a Body Corporate or Community Titles Scheme must be insured. This cover is compulsory, and it exists to protect the shared parts of a scheme that no single owner is responsible for on their own.

The insurance covers the common property, such as pools and fences, the body corporate assets, such as plant and equipment, and the building itself to its full replacement value. Getting the replacement value right matters, which is where the right advice makes the difference, so the scheme is properly covered and meets its obligations under Queensland law.
